NEW YORK — PNC is introducing a new credit card that allows consumers to purchase any type of wire or cable television service and pay for it at the point of sale.
The new credit, the PPC Wire Transfer credit card, is available through the company’s website at www.pncwiretransfer.com and through the new Visa Signature Visa debit card that will be released later this year.
The card can be used at select retailers.
The PPC card is also available at Target and Wal-Mart, and is valid at select restaurants and retailers, including CVS, Walgreens and Walmart.
PNC’s new card is the latest installment of a $2 billion expansion of its wire and cable service portfolio that was announced last summer.
PPC is also expanding its line of wireless broadband products.
The company announced in January that it was adding 50 million homes and businesses to its service network, bringing its total number of homes and small businesses in the U.S. to nearly 2.4 million.
