When you sign up for an iPhone or iPad, it’s up to you to pay for it.
But if you buy something and you forget, it can be difficult to replace it or refund the money you’ve paid for.
That’s why we’re here to help.
This article will walk you through the process of what you need to do to get the most out of your new iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
Check to see if you have an AppleCare+ or AppleCare Protection plan for your device.
If not, it may be possible to return it to the retailer if it’s not in warranty.
The retailer will pay for repairs if it was lost, stolen, or damaged.
If you’ve used an Apple-branded accessory or accessory, you may need to pay a $25 AppleCare replacement fee to get it repaired.
Check if your AppleCare or AppleWorks cover is valid for your new device.
AppleCare is covered under a variety of warranties, and many carriers offer extended coverage for iPhones.
AppleInsider’s AppleCare Protect Plan covers the following devices: MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, MacBook, and iMacs.
If your plan doesn’t cover the new device, the retailer will cover the repair or replacement costs.
If the AppleCare covers your device, it will cost $35.
Check your warranty information.
If AppleCare does not cover the device, you can find out if your device has a limited warranty by visiting your local Apple retail store or by calling AppleCare at 1-800-ATTN-ALERTS.
Apple will notify you of any repairs or replacement if it is eligible.
Request a replacement or replacement.
If a replacement has been approved, you’ll need to bring it with you to the Apple Store.
The store will contact you to arrange for the return or replacement of the device.
To get the device returned or exchanged for another, you must follow the steps in this article.
Submit a claim.
If it’s a repair or the replacement costs are more than the original price, you need a claim form.
Apple does not have a repair policy for new iPhones, so if you can’t find a way to repair the device without a claim, contact AppleCare directly.
If there is no replacement, Apple may not be able to provide you with a refund for the cost of the repair.
Return the product to the store.
You may have to return the device to the manufacturer for repairs or for a replacement.
However, the cost for a repair will be the full amount paid by the customer.
The retail store will then reimburse you for the repair, and you can return the replacement for a refund.
If this happens, you will need to return your device to Apple to receive the full refund.
Report the repair to Apple.
Apple recommends that you submit the claim form online and return it directly to the dealer.
You can do this online or by mail.
Apple stores may also be able provide you a return authorization form to complete online.
Return items for a warranty replacement.
Apple provides a warranty for replacement parts.
This can be used to return parts that aren’t covered under your warranty and to get a refund from a dealer if a warranty cover is not available.
To report the warranty replacement, complete the claim online and follow the instructions on the form.
You will then need to submit a receipt with your claim.
Apple may then send a letter confirming that the repair was approved and requesting a replacement of any part that isn’t covered by your warranty.
Return defective products.
You’ll have to send a replacement item to Apple’s Warranty Center.
The dealer will then contact you with instructions on how to return a defective item.
Report a problem with the product.
Apple reserves the right to refuse to issue a warranty repair if there is a defect or an error in the repair information provided by the retailer.
